All Increases are +3 to the characteristic. If the characteristic is set at 200 xp per increase in the Deathwatch Core Rulebook, it is now designated as Cheap, if set at 500 xp, it is Medium, and if set at 750 xp it is Expensive.
Simple may be bought at Rank 1, Intermediate at Rank 3, Trained at Rank 5, and Expert at Rank 7.

No matter what specialization you have, the Toughness characteristic is always Expensive.
