Rule Changes

The campaign follows all the rule changes imposed by the living errata 1.1 with the following additional changes:

New Table for Characteristic increases

All modifiers and characteristic increases are halved rounding up, this also includes starting characteristic increases from chapter benefits.

The only modifiers left unchanged are size modifiers, range and modifiers to the Focus Power Test.

New rules for a wounds system

Character Creation:
Space Wolves Starting Benefits (page 49): remove the +5 FEL and add +5 T instead.

Specialties:
Space Wolves Chapter Advances (page 67): Add the following Advances to Space Wolves Chapter Advances: Iron Jaw (500 xp), Flesh Render (500xp),Berserk Charge (600xp).

Tactical Marine Advances (page): Swift Attack is now a Rank 4 ability, instead of a Rank 6.
He gains access to the Hammer Blow Talent at Rank 4 for 800 XP.
He also gains access to the Two Weapon Wielder Talent (Ballistic and Melee) at Rank 3 for 800 XP.

Apothecary has changed to an advanced specialization.

Talents and Traits:
Critical Damage Modifiers: All Talents and Traits that involve bonuses to critical damage are instead applied to Righteous Fury damage results

Bulging Biceps (page 114): Replace the sentences: “The character can fire heavy weapons using Semi-Auto Burst or Full Auto Burst without bracing, and he does not suffer the –30 penalty for failing to brace” with the following: “The character can fire heavy weapons using Standard Attack or Semi-Auto Burst without bracing as a half action, and he does not suffer the –30 penalty for failing to brace.”

Call to Vengeance (page 114):

Duty Unto Death (page 116): Replace the entire text with the following: “The Space Marine ignores all stunned results on the Critical Damage Table”

Hammer Blow (page): Replace the following sentence: “The attack also counts as having the Shocking quality to represent the concussive force of the blow’s impact.” With the following: “The attack also counts as having the Concussive quality to represent the concussive force of the blow’s impact.”

Lightning Attack (page 121): Add the following sentence to the description of the Lightning Attack Talent: “Lightning Attack may also be used in conjunction with a Charge.”

Preternatural Speed (page 124): Strike the following sentence: “In addition, the character may use the Swift Attack an Lightning Attack Talents during a Charge”.

Storm of Iron (page 127): Replace the sentences: “When using a flamer or firing a Semi or Full Auto Burst against an enemy with the Horde trait, the Battle-Brother doubles any Damage that he deals to the Horde’s Magnitude. For example, if the Battle-Brother’s attacks would reduce the Horde’s Magnitude by 5, this amount is doubled to 10” with the following: “When firing a Semi or Full Auto Burst against an enemy with the Horde trait, the Battle-Brother doubles his hits per shot fired, after the blast quality has been added, but before additional multipliers are added. For example, if the Battle-Brother attacks with a Heavy Bolter with Metal Storm Special Ammunition and hit 5 times he would reduce the Horde’s magnitude with 10. With Storm of Iron. and a combo with the Unrelenting Devastation Special Ability, he adds + 5 hits, but does not multiply with the Blast(2) Quality, therefore ending with a total of 15+ 1d5 in reduction to the Horde’s Magnitude. In the case of flamers, Storm of Iron doubles Horde Magnitude damage.”

Swift Attack (page 127): Add the following sentence to the description of the Swift Attack Talent: “Swift Attack may also be used in conjunction with a Charge”.

Wargear
Concussive (page 142): On a succesful melee hit, the target is stunned for one round, unless he makes a Toughness Test with the following modifiers: (Routine) +5 if the attack deals less damage after reduction from armour and toughness, than the target’s Toughness Bonus, or (Challenging) +0 if the attack deals equal to or higher damage after reduction from armour and toughness, than the target’s Toughness Bonus, every level of Unnatural Toughness gives a +5 Modifier. Once per turn, Whenever a weapon with the Concussive Quality damages a Horde it forces them to take a Pinning Test with a -10 modifier.

Force Weapons (page 155): Replace the following sentences: “In addition to normal Damage, whenever a psyker damages an opponent, he may, as a Free Action, channel psychic force and killing will into the blade. This requires a Focus Power Test using Opposed Willpower. For every degree of success, the force weapon’s wielder deals an additional 1d10 Damage, ignoring the victim’s Armour and Toughness Bonus” with the following sentences: “In addition to normal Damage, whenever a psyker damages an opponent, he may, as a Free Action once per turn, channel psychic force and killing will into the blade. This requires a Focus Power Test using Opposed Willpower at differing Power Levels. For every degree of success, the force weapon’s wielder deals an additional 1d10 Damage, up to his current Psy Rating, ignoring the victim’s Armour and Toughness Bonus.”

Chain Fist (page 154): Add the following sentence: “A Chain Fists does 2 additional points of Damage per degree of success on the Attack roll.”

Lightning Claws (page 154): Strike the sentence: “Lightning claws do an additional point of Damage per degree of success on the Attack roll. When a character is equipped with a pair of lightning claws, they instead do 2 additional points of Damage per degree of success.” with the following: “Dual wielding lightning claws now confer an extra off hand attack.”

Power Fist (page 154): Strike the sentence: “A power fist adds a multiplier to the wielder’s Strength Bonus.” with the following: “A Power Fist does 2 additional points of Damage per degree of success on the Attack roll.”

Death Watch Suspensor (page 156): Decrease the requisition cost from 25 to 20. Strike the sentence: “When firing a weapon with suspensors, the operator counts as having the Auto-stabilised Trait—meaning he always counts as braced and may fire the weapon on semi or full-automatic as a Half Action and never suffers penalties for moving and firing.” with the following: “When firing a weapon with suspensors, the operator counts as having the Auto-stabilised Trait meaning he always counts as braced and never suffers penalties for moving and firing.”

Psychic Powers:
Power Level Push (page 185): Change the sentence: “When using a power at the push level, the psyker throws caution to the wind and may add +3 to his Psy Rating when determining the power’s final effects” to: “When using a power at the push level, the psyker throws caution to the wind and may add +1 to his Psy Rating and +10 to his Focus Power Test, when determining the power’s final effects.”

Wave of Pennance (RoB page 51): Range is decreased to 5xPR.

Playing the Game:
Wolf Senses Space Wolf Solo Mode Ability: Wolf Senses is replaced by the new Solo Mode Ability: Grim Resolve

Combat:
Brace action (page): Change from full action to half action.

Advesaries:
Damaging a Horde in Melee (page 359): Replace the sentence: “Melee weapons with the Power Field Quality inflict one additional hit” with the following: “Melee weapons with the Power Field Quality inflict one additional damage to Horde Magnitude.”

Damaging a Horde with range (page 359): When firing semi-automatic into a horde every degree of success equal one hit and therefore one Horde Magnitude damage.
